What Are Safe Zones?
A Safe Zone is a designated virtual boundary parents can create through the MyGabb app. When your child enters or leaves this area, the app sends you an automatic alert within 15 minutes. To preserve the device’s battery life, locations are automatically updated every 15 minutes, rather than continuously. A child’s real-time device location can be checked at any time by manually refreshing their location from the parent app.
The ability to set a Gabb Safe Zone allows GPS tracking to work for you. Whether you’re marking off your home, a school, a park, or a friend’s house, you can define the perimeters that matter most.
Additionally, the Gabb Watch Safe Zone can act as a warning system so you can make sure your child doesn’t stray too far on a walk or confirm that your teen arrived at a practice session after school.

We sometimes get questions from parents about Gabb Safe Mode. Safety is built into the very DNA of the device, so an optional “Gabb Safe Mode” setting isn’t necessary.

How Do I Set up Safe Zones on My Gabb Watch or Gabb Phone?
Setting up a Gabb Safe Zone is simple — no tech expertise required! Here’s how you can set it up in just a few steps on the free Gabb parent app on your own device.
1. Open the MyGabb App
Log in to your account on the MyGabb app using the same credentials you used to set up your child’s Gabb device.
2. Locate the Device
Go to the “Devices” tab and select the Gabb phone or watch connected to your account.
3. Choose ‘Manage Safe Zones’
Tap on the “Manage” button in the Safe Zones section of the menu.
4. Create a New Zone
Click on “New Safe Zone” and input the details for the location you want to mark. This could be an address or a general area like a school or home.
5. Adjust the Zone Radius
Use the slider to determine how large or small you want the zone to be based on your child’s activity or surroundings.
6. Save and Monitor
Hit “Save” and confirm the settings. Once the zone is live, you’ll start receiving alerts when your child enters or exits the area.
