How to Set Up Your New Gabb Device
You can set up your new Gabb Watch or Gabb Phone in a few easy steps. The device must be activated, paired with your MyGabb app, & set up.
Gabb Watch 3e
Step 1: Buy device, pick your plan, activate service
If you purchased your Watch from gabb.com, you picked your plan at checkout. If you purchased your Watch from an online marketplace, you’ll pick your plan when you go to gabb.com/activate.
No matter where you purchased your Watch, head to gabb.com/activate to activate your Gabb Watch 3e. The website will walk you through the activation process.
From a computer, log in to your Gabb account, then select Upgrade Device or Replace Device.
- Replacing a device? You can keep your existing plan or pick a new one during checkout at gabb.com/account.
If you bought your upgrade/replacement device from an online marketplace like Amazon, you’ll pick your new plan when you visit gabb.com/activate.
- Upgrading your device? You’ll pick a new plan during checkout at gabb.com/account.
Once you’ve received your new device, go to gabb.com/activate and follow the steps to transfer your phone number and service to the new Watch.
Step 2: Pair your Watch to the MyGabb app
Download the MyGabb app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
After you download the MyGabb app, use your Gabb account login credentials to sign in to the app. Use the same username & password you use when you log in to gabb.com/account (not your child’s login).

Step 3: Set up your Watch
You can add up to 100 contacts to your child’s Watch.
- Log in to the MyGabb app.
- Tap Profile next to your Gabb Watch 3e.
- Tap Manage under Contacts, tap the plus sign in the bottom-right corner, then tap Create Contact.
- Enter the contact details, then tap Save.
Safe Zones allow you to be notified when your child arrives at or leaves a specified location.
When your child enters or leaves a Safe Zone, you’ll get updated anytime between one second and 15 minutes, based on how long ago you received the last location update. You can also click the Locate button in the MyGabb app at any time if you want a quicker location update.
- Log in to the MyGabb app.
- Go to the Devices tab, then tap Profile next to your Gabb Watch 3e.
- Tap the pencil icon in the Location Monitoring section and make sure location monitoring is enabled.
- Close the Location Monitoring window, tap Manage under Safe Zones, then tap New Safe Zone.
- Enter the Safe Zone details, then tap Save.
You can also set up additional parental controls like Quiet Times, preset text messages and SOS contact.

Gabb Phone 4
Step 1: Buy device, pick your plan, activate service
If you purchased your Phone from gabb.com, you picked your plan at checkout. If you purchased your Phone from an online marketplace, you’ll pick your plan when you go to gabb.com/activate.
No matter where you purchased your Phone, head to gabb.com/activate to activate your Gabb Phone 4.

Once you’re logged in to the MyGabb app, turn your Gabb Phone 4 on. Open the MyGabb app on your smartphone, then tap the hamburger icon in the upper-right corner. Tap Add Device.
The Gabb Phone 4 will show a QR code on the screen. Use the camera on your smartphone to scan the QR code on the Gabb Phone 4, then follow the prompts in the MyGabb app to pair your Gabb Phone 4. The MyGabb app will walk you through the steps to pair your Phone.
Download the Gabb Messenger for parents app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Log in to the Gabb Messenger app on your smartphone using the same username & password you use to log in to your Gabb account online.
Step 3: Set up your Gabb Phone 4
You can set up Safe Zones in the MyGabb app on your smartphone. Safe Zones update and notify you every 15 minutes when your child enters or leaves a designated area, allowing you to keep tabs on your child’s location.
- Log in to the MyGabb app.
- Go to the Devices tab, then tap Profile next to your Gabb Phone 4 Pro.
- Tap Manage under Safe Zones, then tap New Safe Zone.
- Enter the Safe Zone details, then tap Save.
The Gabb Messenger app for parents notifies you of flagged or blocked messages on your child’s device. You can also manage other parental controls in Gabb Messenger.
Follow these steps to set up an approved contacts list in the Gabb Messenger parent app:
- Download the Gabb Messenger app on your smartphone (not your Gabb phone) from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Log in to Gabb Messenger using the Gabb account login credentials that you use to log in to gabb.com/account (not your child’s login).
- Enable push notifications so you get notified about flagged & blocked texts.
- (Optional) Build your child’s approved contacts list:
- Tap your child’s profile icon, then tap Controls.
- Tap Contact Management, then enable the Parent-managed slider.
- Tap Approved Contact List, then tap Approve a new contact.
- Enter the contact’s details, then tap Approve contacts.
You can control how often messages can be deleted from your child’s Gabb Phone 4: instantly, after 30 days, or never.
- Log in to the Gabb Messenger app on your smartphone.
- Tap your child’s profile icon, tap Controls, then tap Deleting Settings.
- Select the option you want:
- Instantly: Messages can be permanently deleted from Trash
- After 30 days: Messages are permanently deleted from Trash after 30 days
- Never: Deleted messages always remain in the Trash

▶️ Add an app to your Gabb Phone 4 Pro from the MyGabb app:
- Log in to your Gabb account and make sure your Gabb Phone 4 Pro is on the Advanced plan.
- Log in to the MyGabb app.
- Go to the Devices tab, then tap Profile next to your Gabb Phone 4 Pro.
- Tap Manage Apps. This will take you to the Gabb App Store.
- Browse or search for the app you want to download, then tap Add > Add App. The app will load into the Google Play Store on your Gabb Phone within 24 hours.
- After the app is loaded into the Google Play Store, your child must install the app on their Phone from their Google Play Store.
▶️ Add an app to your Gabb Phone 4 Pro from gabb.com/account:
- Log in to your Gabb account and make sure your Gabb Phone 4 Pro on the Advanced plan.
- Click Gabb App Store in the side menu.
- Select your Gabb Phone 4 Pro from the top menu.
- Browse or search for the app you want to download, then click Add > Add App. The app will load into the Google Play Store on your Gabb Phone within 24 hours.
- After the app is loaded into the Google Play Store, your child must install the app on their Phone from their Google Play Store.
