November 19: Gabb Watch 3e ⌚Bug Fixes 🪲 🔨
🔎 Summary: Fixed an issue causing unexpected battery drain on some Gabb Watch 3es.
✅ Fixes:
- Battery life: Resolved a bug that caused battery of some Gabb Watch 3es to drain faster than expected.
▶️ How to get the update:
Automatic update. Make sure your Gabb Watch 3e is connected to WiFi, and leave it on the charger overnight. All customers should have this update by November 22nd.
November 8: Gabb App Store📱New Features ✨
🔎 Summary: The Gabb App Store has hit a new milestone—over 500 apps available! 🥳 🎉 This new update includes better search results filter limitation, updates for pending app requests that you’ve submitted, & a sleeker overall design.
🎁 Features:
- Filter by limitation: Filter and browse apps by specific limitations. For example, if you filtered for no ads, you’d only see results for apps that have no ads.
- App request form moved: We removed the app request form from the public website. This form can now only be access after you log in to your Gabb account.
- Weekly email for pending app requests: If you have a pending app request, we’ll now send you a weekly email with the status of your request until your request is evaluated.
- Consistent design: The App Guide & App Store both have a sleeker, more consistent design, including collapsible app descriptions.

November 5: Gabb Messenger (child app) 📨 New Features ✨
🔎 Summary: Gabb Messenger Friends & Family Safe Video Calling has now launched to 100% of Gabb Phones! 🥳 Your child can now send a video call invite link to someone in their contacts list.

- Duplicate notifications: Fixed issue where two notifications for two different children opened the same message thread
- Unread conversations not updating: Resolved bug that caused read conversations to remain marked as unread

October 28: Gabb Messenger (parent app – Android) 📨 New Features ✨ & Bug Fixes 🪲 🔨
🔎 Summary: The Gabb Messenger parent app on Android has been updated for a smoother user experience.
✅ Fixes:
- Images not loading: Fixed issue where images from the network weren’t loading
- Last sync status: Addressed a problem where the last sync refresh date didn’t update after a sync was performed and the app needed to be restarted
- Contacts not syncing: Resolved an issue where contacts weren’t being updated properly and removing them on another synced device
- Approved contacts settings: Fixed an issue where the state of an approved contact did not update correctly.
- App stability: Improved overall app stability

October 15: Photos App 📸 New Features ✨
🔎 Summary: We’ve added some great new features to the Photos app on the Gabb Phone 3 Pro, Gabb Phone 4, and Gabb Phone 4 Pro.

- TImeline view: Browse your photos in chronological order
- Albums: Organize your photos by creating albums
- Favorites: Mark & quickly access your favorite photos
- Set contact photo & wallpaper: Set any photo as a contact photo or wallpaper
- Gabb Cloud: Restore or delete photos with improved Gabb Cloud backup
- App settings: Enhanced control & customization settings

We’ll release this update to Gabb Phone 3 Pro & Gabb Phone 4 Pro users first. Then, we’ll release the update to Gabb Phone 4 users. This update will be sent automatically. Connect your Gabb Phone to WiFi and charge it overnight.

- MMS download: Fixed MMS download failures
- Gabb Phone 4 typing: Improved the typing experience on the Gabb Phone 4
- Attachments too large: Fixed error that shows a message fails because the attachment was too large

October 10: Gabb Messenger (parent app) 📨 New Features ✨ & Bug Fixes 🪲 🔨
🔎 Summary: We’ve made improvements to the Gabb Messenger app for parents, including enhanced parental controls, simplified sign in process, better video calling, and some bug fixes.
🎁 Features:
- Enhanced parental controls: You can now approve & manage contacts directly in the Gabb Messenger app for parents.
- Simplified sign in process: We simplified the sign in process. All that is required now is a phone number and one-time passcode.
- Friends & family video calling (beta): Kids selected for our beta program can now send an invite link to friends & family inviting them to video call using Gabb Messenger. All customers can expect to see this update by the end of November 2024.
✅ Fixes:
- Crashes: Fixed bug that caused Gabb Messenger to crash
- View phone lines: Resolved issue where some parents couldn’t view their child’s phone line in the app
- Notifications: Improved push notifications
- Video calling: Stabilized video calling to improve connection quality
- Conversation loading time: Fixed slow conversation loading times

- Rearranging songs: Playlist page now supports scrolling when rearranging songs
- Add songs page: Updated Add Songs page with an extra tab that takes you straight to favorites, and tracks can now be previewed before adding to a playlist
