Our executive team brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and humility that defines Gabb. They come from different backgrounds, businesses, and industries. They’ve all led different aspects of ventures with diverse worldviews and varied approaches, but they all share a common goal: Protect every childhood with safe tech.
Ethan Blount
Interim CEO
As an entrepreneur and executive, Ethan started his journey by founding a software company that innovated real estate listings. More recently, he has focused on acquiring and transforming manufacturing businesses through his family office, unlocking value in asset-heavy operations. He has consulted on major buyout deals totaling hundreds of millions. His expertise spans web-based development, physical product design, manufacturing, asset allocation, and financial engineering.
Lance Black
Senior Vice President
As a founding partner, Lance has been at Gabb from the beginning and most recently served as VP of Marketing. He was instrumental in facilitating the company’s explosive growth and led marketing efforts on every product release. In addition to his agency work, Lance was a partner for Truss leadership network.
Growing up, Lance wrangled horses on his family’s dude ranch and learned the importance of effective communication and customer experience. As a dedicated father of six, Lance knows how critical it is to stay connected with family—his leadership at Gabb reflects his focus.
Jarid Love
Founding Partner and Vice President of Infrastructure
Jarid is a technology leader with a demonstrated history of standing up digital ecosystems and experiences to meet the customers where they are. As a partner and CTO of EKR marketing agency for nearly 20 years, he has deep experience in delivering results across multiple industries and for diverse audiences. Jarid has been with Gabb since the beginning, and as a founding partner, has played an integral role launching Gabb.
As a father of five, and grandpa of three, Jarid has seen how technology can impact kids’ lives, and is using his background to make a difference. While he loves technology, he enjoys disconnecting from it and spending time with his wife and kids in the mountains.
Greg Cole
Chief Operating Officer
Greg brings decades of financial experience from several industries. After receiving his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in accounting from Utah State University, Greg helped grow the accounting team at Conservice Utility Experts from 20 to more than 2,000. He went on to found AIM Ventura Capital, and currently serves as a board member for multiple companies, including Homie, CommLoan, and Opiniion. He joined Gabb in early 2020 as CFO and is a member of our board of directors.
Greg is a father of five, and loves spending time with his kids mountain biking, skiing, golfing, and cheering on their sports teams. Greg’s extensive resume, combined with his family focus makes him a key asset in Gabb leadership.
Chris Meek
Vice President of Strategy & Brand Partnerships
Chris’ experience crosses borders and verticals. His ability to understand and navigate cultural, market, and organizational dynamics unifies diverse stakeholders in corporate strategy and performance. From serving as an executive and partner to portfolio companies, to advising founders and boards, Chris has collaboratively scaled enterprises in more than 60 global markets, and forged partnerships with brands like Yahoo!, HSBC, and Mercedes Benz.
Beyond creating financial models and negotiating deal points, Chris loves being a husband and father, trail running, and marathon swimming. Chris also enjoys producing music in the recording studio and serving as a member and mentor in The Recording Academy. Influenced by personal experiences, Chris is deeply passionate about Gabb’s mission to empower parents and protect children through safe tech.
Kerri Fox-Metoyer
Head of Entertainment Services
Kerri is an accomplished and recognized expert in the entertainment industry. After leading a top-performing sales team at The Walt Disney Company and heading up strategic partnerships for the US office of Sony United, she founded LAB Nashville, a boutique agency providing entertainment strategy at the intersection of music, film, TV, and tech. She was named one of Billboard Magazine’s Top Branding Power Players, and was honored with the Nashville Business Journal’s Women in Music City award.
In her spare time Kerri mentors start-ups at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, and empowers high school girls through the Step Up program. She is an alumni of the Soho House mentorship program in conjunction with the Creative Future Collective. As the mom of three girls, Kerri is very focused on the decisions we make at Gabb as she believes the content our kids consume shapes the person they will be.
Dani Strong
Vice President Growth Marketing
Dani has led Gabb’s marketplace and retail strategy, driving growth across Amazon, Walmart, and beyond. With over a decade of experience in e-commerce and digital expansion, she helped scale brands at companies like $2B Pattern and Jane.com and managed multimillion-dollar portfolios for partners like Black Diamond, Pandora, and Lodge. Her leadership has been central to launching Gabb into retail, positioning the brand for long-term omnichannel growth through 2026 and beyond.
Outside of work, Dani finds joy in backyard chickens, sourdough, reading, and family time. As a mom, she’s passionate about creating safe, empowering technology that helps kids stay connected to what matters most, without the noise.
Joel Cobiella
Vice President of Customer Support
Joel is a customer experience leader with a global background in operations and customer experience. As VP of Customer Support at Gabb, he oversees the strategy and systems that help families get fast, reliable support when it matters most. Since joining Gabb, Joel has led the evolution of the support function during a period of rapid growth—empowering frontline teams, strengthening customer loyalty, and elevating the overall experience for parents.
Before Gabb, Joel led international operations and client services for companies like Aura and NexRep, where he managed large global teams and built scalable support models across multiple locations. His earlier career in the military took him overseas to Italy and back home to Virginia.
Joel believes that great support is built on trust: listening, solving problems, and showing up. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his family, traveling, and enjoys all types of sports.
