  It doesn’t allow songs with explicit lyrics and inappropriate subject matter, so parents don’t have to worry about setting up parental controls. With music from all genres and eras and new songs added weekly, the Gabb Music app delivers a safe, current, and fun listening experience. There are two subscription levels, a preset channel listening experience—Gabb Music, and an interactive, on-demand listening experience with customizable playlists—Gabb Music+

• Are music streaming services safe for kids?

  Gabb Music Streaming is safe for kids, but most music streaming services aren't safe, even though on the surface they seem safe. Here are the dangers:

  1. Ineffective Use of Explicit Labels:
     The music industry relies on record companies to add explicit labels to inappropriate music. However, it’s completely voluntary and what one person deems as explicit for kids may not be standard for all parents.
  2. Adult Themes & Inappropriate Content:
     So much of today’s music is made for adults and contains subject matter that normalizes violence, hypersexualization, misogyny, bigotry, and substance abuse.  In fact, each week, 50% of the most-streamed songs contain explicit lyrics.
  3. Ineffective Parental Controls:
     Most music streaming apps have parental controls that only remove explicit words, not inappropriate topics.
  4. Inappropriate Album Art:
     Most music streaming apps showcase inappropriate album art that kids can access. Parental controls on most streaming apps don’t protect against this.
  5. Inappropriate Music Videos:
     Most music streaming apps commonly show suggestive and explicit music videos, and some show continuously while songs are played. Even music streaming apps marketed for kids often allow children to access explicit videos.
  6. Pornographic Podcasts:
     Most music streaming apps promote podcasts that are inappropriate for kids and even have ways to search for pornographic podcasts.
  7. Inappropriate User-generated Content:
     Most music streaming apps freely allow their users to post adult-themed content.
  8. Potential Contact by Predators:
     Most music streaming services allow strangers to contact kids through the music streaming app chat features. Strangers can create public playlists and change the playlist’s images or titles to directly communicate with children.

• On what phones or devices is Gabb Music available?

  Gabb Music is supported on Gabb Wireless devices and any smartphone or tablet with iOS 14 or Android 6.0 or higher with access to the Google Play or Apple iOS store.

• Can I stream on multiple devices?

  Streaming is limited to one device per subscription at a time, so while you can log in on more than one device, you’ll only be able to stream on one device at a time.

• What music do you offer on the Gabb Music? Is it all kids music or kiddie versions of songs?

  The Gabb Music app features hits and classics from all genres and eras, with new music added every week. With millions of songs, there is music everyone in the family will enjoy!

• Is there a free trial for Gabb Music on a non-Gabb phone?

  Yes, a new subscriber can try Gabb Music+ free for 30 days.

• What ages is the Gabb Music app designed for?

  The Gabb Music app is designed for kids of all ages.

• If I am a Gabb customer, do I need a separate Gabb Music account to add Gabb Music to my iPhone or Android device?

  Yes, you will be prompted in My Account to add a subscription for Gabb Music for your non-Gabb phone. Gabb Music subscriptions bundled with any Gabb phone wireless service can not be shared or transferred to a non-Gabb device.

• Can a music subscription for my Gabb Phone be transferred or shared to a non-Gabb device?

  Gabb Music subscriptions bundled with any Gabb phone wireless service cannot be shared or transferred to another device or a non-Gabb device.

• Is the Gabb Music app available on Gabb Watches?

  The Gabb Music app is not currently available for Gabb Watches.

• How often does the Gabb Music app get updated with new songs and artists?

  The Gabb Music app is updated weekly with fresh new music and favorite classics as well.

• How do you activate the Gabb Music app?

  To sign up for Gabb Music on a non-Gabb device, download the app from the Google Play or Apple iOS store (link when available) and follow the prompts to sign up. You’ll find steps to activate on the app.

• Do I need parental controls for the Gabb Music app?

  No parental controls are needed for the Gabb Music app. Gabb Music is designed to be safe out-of-the-box for kids. All parents need to do is download the app and sign up for the service.

• How much does a Gabb Music subscription cost?

• What’s included in the Gabb Music subscription vs the Gabb Music+ subscription?

  Gabb Music is a preset channel streaming service subscription that allows you to play Gabb preset channels. It offers curated channels with millions of clean songs from all music genres, as well as the ability to like and dislike tracks, with limited skips and repeats.

  Gabb Music+ offers customizable playlists, unlimited skips and repeats, and the ability to download music for offline listening, search songs and artists, plus all the features of Gabb Music.

  Both Gabb Music and Gabb Music+ subscriptions are ad-free.

• Can I get the Gabb Music app on an iPhone?

  The Gabb Music app is supported on both Gabb Wireless phones and any Apple smartphone or tablet with iOS 14 that has access to the Apple iOS store.

• Can I get the Gabb Music app on an Android phone?

  Android users can get the Gabb Music app on devices Android 6.0 and higher that have access to the Google Play store.

As a final step, Gabb’s Curation Team reviews the songs and builds preset channels and playlists to help kids discover and appreciate the best music out there without worrying about what might pop up next.

  Yes, you can request songs and artists to be added here. Please note that we receive thousands of requests daily and while we do our best to review them all, it takes time to work through the list. Some songs and artists may not be available in the Gabb Music app due to licensing rights or because they don’t meet our standards and guidelines.

• Does the Gabb Music app have podcasts or audiobooks?

  The Gabb Music app does not have podcasts or audiobooks at this time.

• Can parents see what their child is listening to on Gabb Music?

  Parents cannot see what their child is listening to in the Gabb Music app at this time. But since no parental controls are needed, thanks to how available songs are selected, parents can still have peace of mind.

• Will the Gabb Music app have more features in the future?
