The Gabb-Reviewed App Guide is for informational use only and does not guarantee the safety and wellbeing of anyone accessing reviewed apps on a non-Gabb device or enabled from the Gabb App Store. Apps reviewed within the Gabb App Guide may contain in-app browsers, and/or content which does not adhere to Gabb’s Standards and Guidelines. Each app developer controls these features, and Gabb has no control over the available content, or access provided within these browsers. All apps are human-reviewed and any unintentional errors can be made known to Gabb by emailing apps@gabb.com.
No. Gabb does not allow social media apps of any kind. Research suggests that social media can negatively impact kids and teens social and mental development. See more about the impact of social media here.
No. Gabb devices do not have any internet browser apps, as they are the main way for users to access the websites. While GabbOS is designed to block links and webviews, parents should know that any workarounds used to access the internet are the sole responsibility of the user.
News apps inherently share content that some parents may feel is not suited for younger users. Gabb does not flag the content of these apps, but will indicate how the apps collect and share user data, if chats are allowed, and note the presence of user-generated content.
Given the personal nature of faith-based decisions, the content provided on the spirituality apps in our store is not reviewed. We’ll still let you know if these apps collect and share user data, have chat capabilities, or allow users to post.
