Gabb Watch 3e Parental Controls in the MyGabb App

MyGabb app parental controls

The MyGabb app allows you to set parental controls for your Gabb Watch 3e, including approved contacts, GPS location tracking, Safe Zones, and Focus Mode.

How do I add approved contacts to my Gabb Watch? 👥

You can add up to 100 pre-approved contacts to the contact list on your child’s Gabb Watch 3e. You can also set up to nine guardian contacts, who can download the MyGabb app and create an account to view your child’s location.

‼️ Guardians can only view the watch’s location. They do not have additional parental controls such as adding contacts, adding preset text messages, etc.

Approved contact

To add an approved contact:

  1. Log in to the MyGabb app on your smartphone.

  2. Tap Manage at the bottom of the screen, then tap on your watch.

  3. Tap Contacts.

  4. Tap the blue plus sign ➕ in the bottom-right corner, then tap New Contact.

  5. Enter the contact details, then tap Save.

Import contacts

You can also import contacts to your Gabb Watch 3e. Follow these steps to import a contact:

  1. Log in to the MyGabb app on your smartphone.

  2. Tap Manage at the bottom of the screen, then tap on your watch.

  3. Tap Contacts.

  4. Tap the blue plus sign ➕ in the bottom-right corner, then tap Import Contact.

  5. Change your permissions to allow access to your contacts, then tap a contact to import.

Repeat this process to import additional contacts.

Guardian contact

You can add up to nine guardian contacts to your Gabb Watch 3e. Guardian contacts can view the location of your child's watch, but they can't edit any parental controls.

Follow these steps to add a guardian contact for your Gabb Watch 3e:

  1. Log in to the MyGabb app.

  2. Tap Manage, then tap on your Gabb Watch 3e.

  3. Tap the blue plus sign ➕ in the bottom-right corner, then select if you want to add a new contact, import a contact from your smartphone, or add from existing contacts.

  4. Activate the Guardian Contact toggle.

How do I set up an SOS contact & SOS notifications? 🆘

The SOS function allows your child to discreetly notify their SOS contact of an emergency by pressing and holding the back button for four seconds.

‼️ Each watch can have one SOS contact set. You can set up different SOS contacts for each individual watch on your Gabb account.

Here’s how to choose the SOS contact for your child’s Gabb Watch 3e:

  1. Log in to the MyGabb app on your (parent's) smartphone.

  2. Tap Manage at the bottom of the screen, tap on your watch, then tap Profile.

  3. Scroll down to the SOS Emergency Contact section, then select the SOS contact you want to set for this device.

🆘 The SOS button will call the child’s SOS contact, not emergency services. Gabb Watches cannot call 911.

How do I add preset text messages? 📨

You can create up to 20 preset text messages on your Gabb Watch 3e. This allows your child to quickly communicate with their contacts using safe messages.

Follow these steps to add a preset text message to your Gabb Watch 3e:

  1. Log in to the MyGabb app on your smartphone.

  2. Tap Manage at the bottom of the screen, then tap on your watch.

  3. Tap Text Presets.

Add a new message

1. Tap the blue plus sign ➕ in the bottom-right corner.
2. Tap Add Message.
3. Enter the message (up to 25 characters).
4. Tap Add Message.

Delete an existing message

1. Tap on the message.
2. Tap Delete Text Preset, then tap Delete.

How does GPS location tracking work on my Gabb Watch? 📍

Check the location of your Gabb Watch 3e by logging in to the MyGabb app on your (parent's) smartphone. The Map tab will automatically display. Check for your child’s location on this map.

GPS location automatically updates every 15 minutes.

👉 You can tap the Refresh button 🔄 on the map in the MyGabb app to manually locate your Gabb Watch.

How do I set up a Safe Zone on my Gabb Watch? 🏠

Want to be notified when your child enters or leaves an area? Set up Safe Zones to deliver these notifications to your MyGabb app.

When your child enters or leaves a Safe Zone, you’ll get updated anytime between one second and 15 minutes, based on how long ago you received the last location update.

👉 You can also tap the Refresh button 🔄 in the MyGabb app if you want a real-time location update.

Here’s how you set up a Safe Zone:

  1. Log in to the MyGabb app on your smartphone.

  2. Tap Safe Zones at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Tap the plus sign ➕ in the bottom-right corner of the map, fill out the Add Safe Zone form, then tap Save.

How do I set up a Focus Mode on my Gabb Watch? 👓

Use Focus Mode to manage sounds and notifications on your child’s watch at specified times during the day.

Follow these steps to set up a Focus Mode:

  1. Log in to the MyGabb app on your smartphone.

  2. Tap Manage at the bottom of the screen, then tap on your watch.

  3. Tap Focus Modes.

  4. Tap the blue plus sign ➕ in the bottom-right corner.

  5. Enter the focus mode details, then tap Save.
